16.1 The committee will be responsible for the nurture of faith formation and development of leadership skills of people of all ages in the Presbytery. This work will be accomplished in part by:

• Connecting Grace Presbytery to organizations within and beyond the larger church which support faith formation and leadership development
• Implementing Presbytery-wide programs such as camps and retreats for children, youth, and young adults
• Supporting the development of ministry leaders through hosting Presbytery-wide events and providing event scholarships and resources.

16.2 GLD consists of fourteen members. The composition will be determined at the last meeting of the previous year being mindful of teaching elder and member representation.

16.3 Functions of Generational Leadership Development Committee: 1

• 6.31 To implement and support programs such as retreats, conferences, and mission trips for children, youth, and young adults throughout the Presbytery.
• 16.32 To equip and resource multi-generational nurture of discipleship and spiritual formation throughout the Presbytery.
• 16.33 To provide programs and events for leadership training and development for youth and adults.
• 16.34 To encourage participation in the Presbyterian Youth Triennium and other programs of the larger church.
• 16.35 To promote and manage scholarship funds for children and youth camps and conferences and scholarships for educational conferences or events for adults, including oversight of distributions received from Prairie Valley Legacy Fund.
• 16.36 To nurture staff and volunteer Christian educator networking and development.
• 16.37 To support and encourage the formation and function of collegiate ministries.
• 16.38 To manage Connections to Larger Organizations to Support Ministry Leaders, including but not limited to:
  • Association of Partners in Christian Education (APCE)
  • Presbyterian Association of Musicians (PAM)
  • Office of Christian Formation
  • Presbyterian Older Adult Ministry Network (POAMN)
  • UKirk
  • Presbyterian Youth Workers Association
• 16.39 To implement Leadership Events, such as current cohort model and stand alone educational offerings
• 16.40 To oversee Resource Center and Other Shared Congregational Resourcing

A committee shall study and recommend action or carry out decisions already made by a council. It shall make a full report to the council that created it, and its recommendations shall require action by that body. (G-3.0109)
