Together with the Grace Presbytery Disaster Response Team (DRT) you can help support refugee families in North Texas. These identified families are in need of computer tablets to help them learn English.
For Refugee families, learning English opens doors:
• to join our community,
• for job opportunities,
• and educational growth.
Grace Presbytery is collaborating with Refugee Services of Texas, a partner with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, to raise $7,000 to purchase 140 computer tablets. These brand-new tablets are loaded with all the necessary software for 140 waiting families to immediately begin online and in-person ESL classes.
Your donation of just $50.00 will cover the cost of one new tablet.
Please consider sending your gift, payable to Grace Presbytery (6100 Colwell Blvd Ste 100, Irving TX 75039); in the memo line add: DRT-Tablets
OR
Make your donation online to via the presbytery website and add “DRT-Tablets” in memo field.
$2,500 in donations will be matched by the Grace Presbytery Disaster Response Team, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, and United Presbyterian Church of Greenville!
For congregations and church members interested in donating volunteer time, Refugee Services of Texas (RST) is located in Dallas on Greenville Avenue just south of I-635. Volunteers are needed to teach ESL, for office help, and many other ways.
