Notice of Called Meeting of Grace Presbytery: January 21, 2023
Grace Presbytery calls a special presbytery meeting for Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving for the following purpose:
- To vote on Presbytery Council’s Stated Clerk nominee.
- To vote on the General Presbyter Search Committee’s nominee.
- To vote on updating the 2023 Presbytery Meeting & Fellowship Gathering locations and methods:
• Saturday, March 4th: Stated Presbytery Meeting at Trinity, McKinney (Hybrid)
• Saturday, May 13th: Presbytery Fellowship event at Camp Gilmont (in-person)
• Saturday, September 23rd: Stated Presbytery Meeting at Preston Hollow, Dallas (in-person)
• October/November date TBD: Presbytery Fellowship event at Austin College (in-person)
Items of Note:
On Saturday, January 21st, the called meeting will be offered in a HYBRID format.
Members of the presbytery and elected commissioners have the option to attend in-person at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving. Those who prefer to attend virtually will be able to participate via the AirMeet platform. Details and platform directions are provided following registration.
Online registration opens Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. via the presbytery website.
Please make plans, and follow the necessary procedure, to nominate elected commissioners from your congregations to attend and take part in these important votes.
As a reminder, members of the presbytery who carry both voice and vote at called meetings include:
• Teaching Elders/Ministers of Word & Sacrament
• Ruling Elders elected to represent their congregation
• Commissioned Pastors
• Certified Educators
• Members of Presbytery Committees
